The Geneva Film Festival is a grassroots event held annually to celebrate and showcase independent films from around the world. Since its beginning in 2007, the Geneva Film Festival has grown in popularity and status in the independent film festival community. The Geneva Film Festival's supportive community atmosphere makes it a great platform for social commentary, and provides a great networking opportunity between patrons, filmmakers, volunteers, and local businesses. The festival also serves as a stepping stone to success for filmmakers, and features workshops with industry professionals which provide educational opportunities for filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike.
